Our Story

When you reach the summit of a mountain, or in other words, a goal, a whole new perspective on life within and around you opens up, and a whole new level of opportunities and objectives presents itself.

Climb For ChangeTMevolved from the profound personal and community impact made by the 2010 Mt. Kilimanjaro charity climb, that founders Chantal and Mike led to raise funds and awareness for outdoor education programs to help special-needs kids and youth in British Columbia, Canada reconnect with nature, and learn and grow in nature.

While Kilimanjaro was not a technical mountain, it became evident that all 12 climbers on the team were on a challenging journey to not only climb a personal mountain during the seven days, but also to help and inspire others to climb the mountains in their lives by setting an example and sharing their stories and lessons learned.

Chantal and Mike realized a need. While thousands of individuals and organizations lead hikes, treks and climbs for causes at any given time around the world, there is no one place where these climb for change leaders and their supporters and friends can come together to share and learn from each other, inspire each other, and encourage others to take action to do the same.

Climb For Change was born.

It is not only a hub for like-minded individuals to share their stories, news and lessons learned, it is also a place to bring about awareness and education around the many opportunities and challenges we face as individuals, as a community, and as society. And it is a place to promote and dialogue around the actions we take to help bring about change.
