What climbing initiative did you take in 2010 that created positive change?  Was it a personal journey, a climb, trek or hike for a friend or community or for the larger humanitarian or environmental challenges we face? 

Share your story at the Climb For Change Campfire from February 7th to February 28th for a chance to win one of three Outdoor Research Alibi Jackets (CA $299 value ea.).

Don’t delay! Awards will be announced Feb 18th, Feb 25th, and March 4th and winners will be featured through the Climb For Change website and social media.

 

What does it take to win?

  • Be inspirational
  • Be creative – write a story and post a photo or upload a video telling your story
  • Show impact (personal, community, and/or humanitarian/environmental change)
  • Get lots of “This Rocks” votes  - so get your family, friends and colleagues involved
  • Become a member of the Climb For Change Community – it’s free!

Contest Rules:

  • The Climb For Change Campfire online contest starts February 7th, 2011 and will close February 28th, 2011.
  • The contest will consist of stories (written or video) submitted by Climb For Change community members.
  • In order to qualify to win a jacket or hat (“the award”), participants must be members of the Climb For Change community and must create a Campfire post (written or video) within the specified contest timeline about a Climb For Change they have completed between January 2008 and February 2011. The hats will be awarded for the photo that best represents a climb for change story. It is possible to win for best photo without winning for best story. Only one award will be awarded per Climb For Change community member.
  • The climb must demonstrate change in one (or more) of the change circles: personal change, community change, or humanitarian/environmental change.
  • Winners will be announced on Monday, February 18th, Monday, February 25th and Friday, March 4th
  • The winners of the jackets will be chosen 40% by the number of “This Rocks” the post receives, and 60% by the Climb For Change team based on the impact of the climb, how inspirational it is, the post’s creativity, and how well it aligns with one or more of the change circles mentioned above. 
  • Each winner will receive recognition on the Climb For Change website and through Climb For Change social media and must consent to be featured on the Climb For Change website and through Climb For Change social media in order to qualify.
  • Awards cannot be exchanged
