VIMFF 2011 Fall Series - “Celebrating the Adventurous Heart”

Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival (VIMFF) is thrilled to offer the VIMFF 2011 Fall Series with slide presentations and films. World class local and international guest speakers and climbing films will be featured as part of this program spanning over three days on November 15-17, 2011. The scope of this program is to celebrate the adventurous heart, offer exciting programming, bring together the local outdoor communities, and keep alive the film festival mission. (The main 15th Annual VIMFF will be happening on February 10-18, 2012.)

As part of the VIMFF 2011 Fall Series on November 15, FEAT Canada Talks will feature an evening of short presentations by nine Canadian adventurers. These talks are time-limited; each speaker is allowed a limited number of slides, which scroll automatically to give a total duration of seven minutes. No more, no less. FEAT stands for "Fascinating Expedition & Adventure Talks"

On November 16 VIMFF brings the “Reel Rock Film Tour” series of the most recent death-defying films fighting gravity, a breathtaking journey through the vertical realm with the heroes of rock and snow.

And finally on November 17, Pete Brennan will offer a multimedia program "India to Ireland by Bicycle". Pete & Keara Brennan, a brother sister team cycled 12,000km from India to Ireland. Their route passed through 16 countries including the "axis of evil" countries Iran, Pakistan and Iraq.

When: November 15-17, 2011, all shows start at 7:30 (doors at 6:30)
