Alanna Kostiw
As Marketing Communications Intern for Climb for Change, I harnesses my passion for the outdoors, writing and social enterprise to grow the Climb For Change network, sharing stories from across the world that inspire change.
Growing up in rural Alberta, I was always motivated to broaden her horizons through education and international travel. So at the age of 19 I squashed my life into a backpack, and independently worked/volunteered/traveled for a year across Oceania, Ecuador and Peru. Through this experience, I emerged with a desire to enact positive change through social enterprise and subsequently enrolled in the University of Victoria’s Entrepreneurship program. Now graduated, I possesses professional writing, research, event planning and stakeholder management experience gained through diverse involvement in public, non-profit and private sectors.
For me, the mountains were love at first sight, and this relationship has deepened through years of international outdoor adventure and alpine exploration. Now calling the West Coast home, I'm an avid hiker and truly passionate climber who thoroughly enjoys the abundance of world-class outdoor delights found in British Columbia.
